Our 2024 Impact Report
In 2024, the animation industry faces huge challenges and balancing achieving business goals with creating a happy working community of artists is tougher than ever. As we work towards our B Corp re-certification, we believe being a studio that prioritises sustainability, the environment and people alongside profit is more important than ever.
Our core mission continues to prioritise creating joyful and inclusive content that positively entertains and educates viewers' lives.
To ensure our positive impact strategies are aligned with our stakeholders, we conducted a materiality assessment, engaging staff, clients, and suppliers to advise us on where they see us having maximum impact and where our focus should be.
We are pleased to release our annual B Corp Impact Report for 2024, highlighting our commitment to sustainable practices and positive social impact.
Over the last twelve months, our team has accomplished significant achievements in content creation, with the studio delivering 149 episodes totalling over 1,070 minutes of animation in the past year. Notably, 21% of our delivered content was educational, featuring approval from qualified educational advisors to ensure quality and accuracy.
In response to evolving environmental challenges, we have enhanced our mission statement to emphasise minimal environmental impact while utilising creative technology. This renewed focus has been integrated into all levels of the studio, from job roles to onboarding processes, ensuring company-wide commitment to reducing our environmental footprint. In addition, we have finalised our AI manifesto, with input from all staff, which champions human craft over machine.
We have also expanded our impact measurement to include the licensing and digital team's work in partnership with Alphablocks Ltd, whose work includes managing multiple YouTube channels. This integration allows for a more comprehensive assessment of their reach and impact across platforms.
