Paddington won two Emmys!
We’re overjoyed to share that The Adventures of Paddington has been accoladed with TWO Daytime Emmys!
Having been nominated for three Emmys, the team took home the awards for Outstanding Pre-school Children’s Animated Series and Outstanding Writing Team for a Pre-school Animated Program.
Director, Chris Drew, accepted the award for Outstanding Pre-school Children’s Animated Series on the night and had this to say:
“There’s so many people to thank, the Paddington family is very big so it’s difficult to give everyone the credit that they deserve. Thank you for all the support and encouragement from StudioCanal, Heyday Films, and Nickelodeon. Thank you Ben Whishaw for being the voice-actor of our Paddington and doing a wonderful job. We have to thank John and James for being our head writers. Also, Simon and Karen, our producers, thank you for your enthusiasm and support. Adam, my co-director and I, have to make a very special thank you to the crew at Blue Zoo Animation Studio, the amazing team who produce work week in and week out and work so hard. I can’t thank every department enough for all the great work they do. They make a show that can be tricky to make, very easy to watch!”
We’re incredibly proud that the Paddington crew have won so many awards so far. In 2020, Paddington won the British Animation Award for Best Children’s Pre-School Series. Since then, we also won the Annie award for Best Preschool TV/Media.
It’s truly wonderful to see the team’s hard work pay off. Congratulations again to the Paddington crew, Aunt Lucy will be proud!
